Welcome to No Glory, a clique against glorifying self-mutilation, run by Maduin Railey. Now, before you leave, let me get a few things straight with you.
This is a not a clique against self-mutilation in general. While I do believe it is unhealthy to do such things, I also understand some people do it for a reason and that's fine with me. If you want to do something like that, it's fine. The point of this clique is not to alienate people who inflict wounds on themselves, be it cutting, burning, or anything similar to that affect. The point of this clique is to tell the world that there is No Glory in it. It's not a "work of art", or something "romantic and beautiful", as I've read in multiple places. It is a sign of an illness, and the people who make it out to be anything glorious or beautiful are people who just don't get it. I understand that very few people cut/burn/etc for the same reason, but I don't believe there's anything beautiful about it. I don't believe it's something you should go bragging about, and I don't think most of the community is going to smile and tell you "wow, that's wonderful". As a matter of fact, I believe most people will be concerned for your safety and well-being if you're inflicting wounds on yourself on purpose, whether you have a reason or not. It's one thing to tell people you used to injure yourself but you've stopped, it's an entirely different thing to be like, "Hey Joe, look at my scars!". Disagree with my views? That's fine. Agree with only part of it? That's fine too. This clique isn't mandatory to join. But if you agree that there is no glory in injuring yourself, that it isn't something beautiful that should be admired, that it isn't something everyone should do, then you should join. Because that is what this clique stands for. This clique is for people who believe that injuring yourself is not the "in" thing, that it is not something "beautiful". Understand? Agree? Want to join? Check below. Close to no rules for this one, but naturally there are a couple. 1.) You have to be against glorifying self-injury. In short, if you have a website and actually are joined in a clique that glorifies self-injury, you're out, mkie? (Yes, there is a clique that supports self-injury. Out of respect for those people's opinions, I won't link it here) 2.) If you have a website, it is preferred that you put a link somewhere on it back to this site to spread the word around. You don't have to, but I'd like it if you would. 3.) You do not have to be someone who does not inflict self-injuries. I have said it before, I will say it again: I don't have a problem with people who inflict self-injuries. You just have to understand that it is not something that needs glorifying. See? That was very simple indeed. I don't think those rules are that hard to follow, do you? Nope? Of course not. Now that you've read them, here are a few optional codes you can use to place on your website (if you have one). Simply copy and paste the code onto your website and voila, it's done. You are not limited to using any of these codes. If you make a button, I'd appreciate it if you send it to me so that I can put it up here. Feel free to edit the text code to whatever you please, just as long as it links back here.
